I purchased the 10W OLM2 S2 thinking this is all the power I needed to get the job done, It worked for a while, as long as I engraved images and small pieces to cut, under 5" square, I could get the projects done in a timely manner, I made 1.5" square numbers plates out of birch ply-board, unfortunately cutting required at least 9-12 passes.
The install of the machine was actually fun, before the unit arrived I looked over the tutorial so I was familiar with the parts and there where no surprises once it arrived,
Knowing what I know now I would have bought the 20 W, I think this would have made all the difference in the long run (I bought the 20W module).
I think this unit is good for small project and light weight wood and materials, possibly using the Y-axis rotary chuck too.
As it was I think it's a good started machine and I have learned a lot about laser engraving.
